DTC P0014, P0016 or P0017
New 9-5 (650) With 4 cyl engine LHU (A20NHT, A20NFT)
The crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor are checked without any fault found. Deleted fault code is set immediately again.
The camshaft timing chain is probably worn out or the chain tensioner is faulty, which cause DTC P0014, P0016 or P0017.
Check following:
- Engine adjustment for camshaft and crankshaft
- The camshaft timing chain is correctly mounted and not damaged
- The camshaft chain tensioner is not damaged
If necessary replace camshaft timing chain, chain tensioner and chain gear.
