Issue with low oil pressure after cold start, but oil pressure sensor is OK
Saab 9-3 (9440) with DTR engine
At a cold start when the car has been standing for 24 hours or more, there is a warning on display unit saying low oil pressure. The low oil pressure warning goes off after 10 seconds.
Action:
We have had some cases where the O-ring to the suction pipe for the oil pump / sump has been the cause for the low oil pressure warning. Replace O-ring, P/N 93167112. See picture below:
